Great, tell me more.

Together, for the first time in history, we are taking democracy across borders.

The UK makes decisions about climate change, migration, poverty and war that directly affects millions around the world.  There is no democratic means for those outside the UK to have a say in how these decisions are made.

We think we can do better than a world where politicians from the strongest countries decide for everyone else.

By giving our votes to people in Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Ghana, we’re giving them a say in the UK decisions that affect them. They can ask the candidates questions and ultimately decide who gets their vote.

This is a call out for big and bold ideas about how we can organise ourselves for a better and more equal world.

So why these countries?

Afghanistan

There are 9,000 UK soldiers fighting a war in Afghanistan. UK policy about the deployment of troops, distribution of aid and engagement with the Taliban directly affect the people of Afghanistan.

Bangladesh

Millions of Bangladeshis are facing extreme poverty and displacement because of climate change – a problem they did not create. As the 8th largest emitter of Carbon, UK policy on climate change directly impacts people in Bangladesh.

Ghana

Ghanaian farmers are suffering greatly as a result of UK and EU farming subsidies. As the fourth largest shareholder in the World Bank, the UK makes decisions that impact the lives of millions of Ghanaians.
